Employment Specialist/Job Developer
For
Craven County and Pitt County
Eastern Carolina Vocational Center, Inc. is seeking someone with a “can do” attitude. This candidate needs to be positive, energetic and a resourceful person willing to find or create jobs in Pitt County for people with disabilities in the local business community through networking, marketing, and collaboration. Must be a self-starter and equally comfortable with clients and employers. Prefer someone with a BS/BA in Human Services or Education. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of education. One year related experience preferred.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, creativity, persistence, and commitment to program philosophy and goals.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation
- Clean criminal background
- May need to work occasional evenings and weekends
Good candidates for this position generally
come either from the business community or from positions in vocational or rehabilitation service where they have worked very closely with employers. Competitive salary and benefit package.
