Employment Specialist/Job Developer

                                         For Craven County

    Eastern Carolina Vocational Center, Inc. is seeking someone with a “can do”      attitude to work as a temporary Employment Specialist/Job Coach in the New

    Bern area. This candidate needs to be positive, energetic and a resourceful

    person willing to find or create jobs in Craven County for people with

    disabilities in the local business community through networking, marketing,

    and collaboration. Must be a self-starter and equally comfortable with clients

    and employers. Prefer someone with a BS/BA in Human Services or

    Education. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of education. One

    year related experience preferred.

    Requirements:

   • Excellent communication skills, creativity, persistence, and commitment to

     program philosophy and goals.

   • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
   • Reliable transportation
   • Clean criminal background
   • May need to work occasional evenings and weekends

    This position could be for 3-4 months. Primary job responsibilities will be:
   • Job development
   • Community based assessments
   • Job coach
   • Follow up with clients and employers
