Internal Job Opening
for
Material Handler/Packaging

ECVC has one opening for a material handler in packaging. The hours are 8 am to
4:30 pm. The days are Monday through Friday with weekends as needed. The ideal person needs to be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
• Reads work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and containers to be moved.
• Lifts objects by hand or power hoist.
• Assembles crates to contain products such as machines or supplies.
• Operates industrial truck or hoist to assist in loading of materials or products.
• Stretch wrap pallets of finished products.
• Assists in inspection of lugs.
• Assists with inventory count and preparation.
• Maintains proper levels of supplies for clients and assist them if needed.
• Helps in loading of UPS truck and unloading of supplies and materials.
• Assembles various sized cardboard packages.
• Must be able to read simple billing orders and record numbers.
• Must be able to distinguish reject and non reject products.
• Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with little or no supervision and work independently.
• Must be able to work with and assist individuals with varied abilities and /or limitations.
