ECVC has an opening for a Material Handling Laborer (Driver’s Helper) for our Servmart location at Cherry Point in Havelock, NC. This employee assist the delivery driver with desktop deliveries at Cherry Point USMC Air Station. A high school diploma or GED is desired. The hours will be from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm but subject to change with needs. Be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Be able to perform the following tasks:
- Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and
material and equipment needs.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and loading docks and delivery vehicles, by hand or using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Sort cargo before loading and unloading. Pack and/or re-pack damaged containers.
- Arrange items neatly on store shelves.
- Be able to count accurately and assist with inventory.
- Help with general housekeeping duties.
A clean background and excellent attendance are a must. Because of our
government contracts, priority will be given to someone with a documented
