State Recycling - North Carolina Recycling
The Carolina Recycling Association is comprised of membership from South and North Carolina. The City of Greenville, Pitt County and ECVC are members of this association. A convention is held each year, alternating states where information is shared.
The N.C Division of Pollution Prevention & Environmental Assistance (DPPEA) is the agency which offers grant money each year to help expand recycling efforts. The City of Greenville received a grant in 2007 to build multi-family recycling centers. The County of Pitt received the grant in 2008 to expand the Feed the Bin School Program. ECVC matched each grant.

In 2008 a law went into effect regarding establishments with ABC licenses. The law requires these businesses to pull all of their beverage containers from their garbage for recycling.

Certification
ISO 9001:2000 certified since January 2004 by SGS Systems and Services Certification (Certificate # US04/3547) to manufacture wooden picture frames
and battery terminal lugs as well as packaging, labeling, and distribution of small batteries and cobalt drill bits.
